52-year-old groom arrested for marrying 16-year-old girl, women and child welfare department notice to 60 people!

A 52-year-old groom is married to a 16-year-old girl.

Both the bride and groom are residents of Karwar Nagar. A grand wedding took place in a temple on July 19 at Karwar in Uttara Kannada district. He knows that his wife is a minor after three months of marriage. Then he is shocked. No one had any doubt about the age of the bride who was physically well developed.

She was married to a 52-year-old man who worked as a security guard. Around 60 people participated in the grand wedding.

Three months after the marriage, the information about the bride's disability was revealed on the basis of the information provided by the Anganwadi workers, and the officials of the Women and Child Welfare Department immediately found the bride.

Anil tried to commit suicide by consuming poison due to fear of arrest. Later, the police found the bride and arrested the 52-year-old groom Anil.

The women and child welfare department has issued notices to a total of 60 people including the relatives involved in the marriage. A case has been registered at Karwar Women's Police Station.

At present, the married man has been arrested by the police and kept in Karwar Jail, while the minor is a victim in the comfort center.
